Bone china oil cruet features almond blossom design.
 
Bone china is a finicky material and every potter has heartaches with it.  It warps and cracks and you never know what you'll see when you open the kiln.  This cruet has a very slight tilt to it, but I love it all the same.
 
The design is based on the Almond Blossoms paintings by Van  Gogh in Arles and Saint-Rémy, southern France of blossoming almond trees. Flowering trees were special to van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. 
 
Measures roughly 16cm (excluding spout) and holds roughly 450ml.
