Each beautiful insect is handcrafted in porcelain and handpainted.  They go through mulitple firings to attain the beautiful metallic lustre.  Each bug is unique.

Gerard's shell is a pearlescent burnt orangeand his thorax is a shimmering deep green.

Gerard is similar in size to the other large ladybirds and the frame is 21.25cm square.  As these are deep frames, they can be placed on a surface, or hung on a wall.
