Each beautiful bug is handcrafted in porcelain and hand painted.  They go through multiple firings to attain the beautiful metallic lustre.
 
Howard's thorax is a bumpy green and his abdomen is a shiny blue.  His wings are made of porcelain.  He's a handsome little fly.
