Each beautiful insect is handcrafted in porcelain and handpainted.  They go through mulitple firings to attain the beautiful metallic lustre.  Each bug is unique.

Roland's wings are dark blue with light blue areas.  His thorax is a shimmering deep purple.

Roland is similar in size to the large ladybirds and the frame is 21.25cm square.  As these are deep frames, they can be placed on a surface, or hung on a wall.
